Earth, Air, Fire, and Water
Earth November 4, 2017
Our assistant conductor Patrick Forsyth will be conducting the first concert of the 2017-2018 season. The PCO will be performing Beethoven’s Symphony No.6 “Pastoral” and pianist Tom Roberts will be joining us to play Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue. Plus as a special treat, the orchestra will perform music arranged by Tom Roberts to accompany the 1914 Charlie Chaplin film Kid Auto Races in Venice.
Holiday December 16, 2017
Betsy Heath Charles will be conducting the Holiday concert this year. To bring you the sounds of the season, the PCO will be joined by the Fort Couch Middle School Choirs of Upper St. Clair directed by Thomas Hunsberger. In addition, the orchestra will be performing many of your holiday and winter favorites.
Air February 3, 2018 at Boyce Middle School Theater*
The PCO's guest conductor David Sinclair is planning music that will enhance your experience of the element Air.
Fire March 24, 2018
PCO music director Warren Davidson and assistant conductor Patrick Forsythe will be conducting our March concert with compositions depicting Fire. Plus you won't want to miss hearing the very talented winners of our annual Young Artist Competition.
Water May 19, 2018
Our final concert of the season will be conducted by former
PCO assistant conductor Alejandro Pinzon.
Soprano Katy Williams, will join the orchestra to highlight the
theme of Water.
Each concert is at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday evening.
With the exception of the February concert, all concerts are at the Upper St. Clair High School Theater.
*The February concert is at the Boyce Middle School Theater.
